Voile/Toile – Toile/Voile, which explores the duality of the sails as both paintings and functional objects. is a performance installation by renowned French conceptual artist Daniel Buren who is known for placing his signature striped works in public spaces. On December 2nd, a regatta, raced by youth sailors, will take place in the bay behind Peréz Art Museum, followed by an installation of the boats arranged according to their race order. ⛵️![]()

Sold! Maurizio Cattelan’s iconic “Comedian” artwork—a banana taped to a wall—just sold for $6.2 million at auction at Sotheby’s. The buyer, Chinese collector and entrepreneur, Justin Sun, intends to pay with cryptocurrency and later eat the banana. Many see the piece as historic for both the art and cryptocurrency worlds – with the secured right to recreate the work anywhere, there is a conceptual link to NFTs reflected in the purchase of its instructions rather than the physical piece.
